It's amazing that we only worry of independence & resources depletion when it comes to oil & gas-understandable given they the most important input-however there are many point of vulnerability and dislocations that can cripple us just the same and we are sleep walk into it with misguided policies.
As a chemist 🧪 I am particularly drawn to articles like this, so thank you.
Back on the day I did some fluorine chemistry, and greatly appreciated the unique properties that fluorine can bestow on a variety of materials, both inorganic and carbon based organic, such as drugs and polymers or plastics like Teflon and the dreaded PFAS "forever chemicals".
CaF2 or fluorspar is a general source of fluorine atoms, but I was unfamiliar with direct lithium battery applications except maybe for separation membranes.
I will stop yacking, and say thanks and keep up the good work!

Interesting article, fluorite wasn't really on my radar.
Thanks, we took a risk with that title "the EV mineral *no one* has heard of" but think it's fair 😅
The end justifies the means. 😉

It's a fascinating mineral, we didn't get into it but it's even used in uranium enrichment ☢️
Thank you for your feedback and subscribing - love it 🙌
Thanks, and yup, if (when!) we do a follow up, we'll try to be in touch 🙌
